Hubert de Givenchy founded his namesake fashion house specializing in Haute Couture and ready-to-wear in 1952. This one-of-a-kind occasion provides an inside look at the world of fashion and design through a diversified program of activities. Every year, many well-known Canadian designers, retailers, up-and-coming creators and international fashion icons will share their art and vision with the public. The activities include fashion shows, live creative sessions, design showcasing and musical performances. The Fashion & Design Festival’s presence will also be felt around the city with novel exhibits, original installations and unique experiences open to all. With 50 shows, as much as 300 participants and 550,000 visitors expected, the Fashion & Design Festival is a leading platform for fashion, design, music, beauty and shopping trends. Vanessa Pilon official spokesperson Vanessa Pilon was discovered for her work as a social media specialist at Salut Bonjour. She charmed the audience with her passion and dynamism. Broadening her horizons as a columnist and host (Sucré Salé, VLOG), she later reached out to a younger audience as a co-host of Vrak Attak and Switch tes fripes, on Vrak TV. Her social media presence and passion for the arts and culture led her to cover and present exclusive content on the Web for Occupation Double and Star Académie. This summer, she is a cultural collaborator on Gravel le matin, airing on the radio of Radio-Canada. From the beginning of her career, she expressed an interest in fashion. She took part in Glam, a web-tv show dedicated to fashion. Trend-conscious, she likes to encourage Quebec designers. She has recently worked with Doyle Optometrists and Opticians, for which she edited a line of Scandinavian-inspired glasses. In collaboration with Boutique La Fabrik, she has also created Humanity, a line of jewelry. All profits from the sales of this line are donated to the Centre des Femmes de Montréal.
